No. 4 Men's Lightweight Rowing Takes Fourth At IRA National Championship

CAMDEN, N.J. – The No. 4 Princeton University men's lightweight rowing team earned a fourth-place finish in the team point standings Sunday at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championship at the Cooper River, as the 1V and 2V both raced in Grand Finals.
With 37.5 points, the Tigers came in fourth ahead of No. 8 MIT, who had 30. No. 1 Harvard won the team point standings (54) while No. 5 Dartmouth were second (45) and the No. 4 University of Pennsylvania third (43.5).
The 1V finished fifth (5:36.750) in its Grand Final and finished ahead of Navy (5:41.030). Harvard won gold (5:29.620), Dartmouth silver (5:32.250) and MIT bronze (5:34.390) while the Penn came in fourth (5:34.910).
The 2V missed out on a medal by the slimmest of margins, finishing fourth (5:43.170) and narrowly trailing Columbia (5:42.850). Harvard came in first (5:39.980) and the Quakers second (5:41.300).
