Injuries kept Kyle Morgan out of the lineup throughout most of the 2005 season as the junior was only bale to compete in three games. He scored a goal in Princeton’s Southern win against Penn State Behrend.
Morgan scored four goals for Princeton as a sophomore and was named to the AWPCA All-Academic Team. Morgan scored his first goal of the season in a shutout win over Fordham, then tallied a goal in the opening game of Southern’s against Mercyhurst. He had his lone multiple-goal game of the season in a win over Harvard in the Eastern semifinals. As a freshman, Morgan contributed seven goals, 12 assists and 11 steals.
Morgan was a four-year letterwinner and co-captain his senior year at Punahou, which finished as the undefeated league champion three times in his career. He was a second-team all-league pick as a junior and a first-team all-league selection as a senior. Morgan started on the Zone 5 team at the youth team tryouts in 2002 and was a sixth-team All-America in 2003. He was also on the varsity swim and canoe teams in high school.
