Traub begins his first official season with Princeton in the fall of 2020.
The 2020 season was cancelled because of the coronavirus.
He spent the previous six years with Holy Cross as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.
While at Holy Cross, Traub was involved in many aspects of the program. He developed and implemented a winter training program and taught elite level technique. Traub was also leading the way in team travel and training. One of the highlights while at Holy Cross was the No. 22 heavyweight JV 8+ boat in 2019.
Traub also has experience on the international stage. While training out of U.S. Rowing Training Center, he was part of the fifth place LM8+ boat at the 2014 World Rowing Championships. He was a semifinalist in the Visitor’s Cup at the 2014 Henley Royal Regatta. Traub won the Open 8+ race at the 2014 U.S. Rowing Elite National Championships after earning three titles at the 2013 Royal Canadian Henley Regatta (LM4-, LM8+, LWT Dash). He also earned second place finishes at the 2013 U.S. Rowing National Championship and Non-Olympic World Championship Trials in 2012 in the LM2-.
No stranger to the Ivy League, Traub rowed at Cornell for four years (2007-11). A senior captain of the lightweight crew, he saw action in the Head of Charles Regatta in 2010, earning a silver medal in the lightweight eight. His team was first at the 2009 EARC Sprints and earned two top five places at the IRA National Championships in 2009 and 2011. Traub's boat won consecutive Head of Charles Alumni 8+ titles in 2017 and 2018 and still holds the record time (2017).
Traub graduated from Cornell in 2007 with a degree in Nutritional Sciences with a concentration in Dietetics.
