2020-21: Season was canceled due to COVID-19.
2019-20: Advanced to the B final of the 500 free and 400 IM while also scoring in the 1,650 freestyle at the Ivy League Championships...moved into Princeton's all-time top-10 in the 400 IM (3:51.79) ... 2018-19: finished seventh in the 1,650 free and advanced to the B final of the 400 IM along with the C final of the 500 free at the Ivy League Championships.
2017-18: reached his first Ivy League championship final in the 400 IM and placed seventh in 3:51.79 … added a 10th-place finish in the mile (15:17.22) … had Princeton’s third-fastest 500 free (4:24.20) and fourth-fastest 1000 (9:27.76) times of the season ... had a top time of 1:38.50 in the 200 free at the Big Al meet
Before Princeton: Nine-time NISCA All-American (five individual, four relays) … two-time first-team All-Met selection by the Washington Post … named Most Outstanding Swimmer for the Washington Metropolitan Prep School league … led team to conference title … holds Montgomery County Swim League record in 200 medley relay … finalist at Junior National … Zone Select Camp invitee … team captain … Scholastic All-American … earned Scholar-Athlete honors for Potomac Valley … top times include: 45.52 (100 free); 1:38.53 (200 free); 4:27.31 (500 free); 1:49.99 (200 IM); 3:55.84 (400 IM); 9:16.21 (1000 free).
Personal: Born Sept. 26, 1998 … son of Kenley and Susan Tarter … volunteers for KEEN of Washington, A Wider Circle, Bethesda Cares, and Red Wiggler Farm … will be traveling to Southeast Asia this summer to work with a sports camp serving refugee youth … enjoys playing the drums, sailing and boating … undecided on course of study at Princeton.
