- Volunteer Assistant Coach
Joao Pinho joined the Princeton women's tennis team as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2010-11 season.
Pinho holds coaching certifications from the U.S. Professional Tennis Association, the Professional Tennis Registry and the Etcheberry tennis fitness program. He is also currently employed at the Nassau Tennis Club in Skillman, N.J.
Since his graduation from Utah State in 2007, where he served as an undergraduate assistant coach after completing his eligibility, Pinho earned a master's in business administration at Toledo while holding an assistant coaching position with the Rockets. Pinho has also earned a certificate in sportss marketing and management from UCLA.
During his competitive career, Pinho played first at Austin Peay in Tennessee and then at Utah State, earning all-conference honors both academically and athletically while with the Aggies. A junior national champion in his native Brazil, Pinho competed professionally on the futures level with the International Tennis Federation.
