MacDonald Ties Two Program Records In 20-9 Win Over Towson

A dominant – and dispersed – offensive effort from No. 23 Princeton ended the non-conference slate on a winning note as Princeton cruised past Towson, 20-9, at Sherrerd Field.

Princeton received goals from 12 different players 13 total Princeton players had at least a point in the win.

Leading the way was Jami MacDonald who tied two program single-game records with 10 goals and seven assists in the game. She played just 35:00 in the game before stepping off following her 10th point of the evening which came via a goal with 10:03 to play in the third quarter.

She put forth just the fifth 10-point game in program history and first since she did so against Harvard in March of 2025 to make her the only player in program history with multiple 10-point games.

MacDonald's seven assists match the school record set twice by classmate Haven Dora during the 2025 season.

Dora had a night of her own, tallying six points on two goals and four assists. Meg Morrisroe was right behind with five points on four goals and an assist while also winning three draws and picking up three ground balls.

Merrill Watson (2g, 1a), Colette Quinn (2g) also had multi-point nights for Princeton. Cassanda Kitchen recorded her first collegiate goals while Kendall Dean netted her first goal of the season.

Princeton won 16 draws, with four each off the sticks of Abigail Roberts, Ella Sloan and Maggie Molnar.

Jenna Cardeno was busy in net for Towson, making 12 saves in 37:35 of play before giving way to Sienna Parekh who made four more down the stretch.

Princeton never trailed, but was in the middle of a fight after the first quarter ended with Princeton ahead, 5-2.

The second quarter was all in favor of the home team as Princeton rattled off nine goals in the frame to lead, 14-2, at halftime.

Out of the break, Princeton added three more in quick fashion to take a 17-2 lead with 10:03 left in the third quarter.

With an important Ivy game at Brown on the horizon, Princeton went to the bench after MacDonald made the score 17-2, and Towson mounted a bit of a rally with seven of the game's final 10 goals.

Princeton heads to Brown for a battle of two teams tied at 3-2 in the Ivy League standings. Opening draw with the Bears is set for 12 p.m. in Providence on April 18. The winner of that game will clinch its spot in the Ivy League Tournament.
