Luana Magnani, a 2006 graduate of Southern California, was named the Cornelia Drake and John Van Ryn Jr. '28 assistant coach of women's tennis on July 1, 2010.
Magnani was a top-16 player nationally while at USC and was at the top of the Trojans' ladder in both singles and doubles. USC advanced to the NCAA Round of 16 every year with Magnani on the team, including an appearance in the national semifinal her senior year.
Prior to USC, Magnani was a top-five nationally ranked junior player. Since graduation, she has coached at the high school level and at two tennis clubs in Southern California.
Magnani is a native of Pasadena, Calif.
