Tigers Take Third At 1999 Eastern Championship

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Princeton men's water polo team rounded out the 1999 campaign with a 15-12 overtime victory over Queens in the third place game of the Eastern Championships. With the win, the Tigers finished the season with a 22-3 mark, setting a University record for wins in a season. The University of Massachusetts defeated St. Francis 10-7 in the championship game to win the tournament and advance to the NCAA Championships.
Marshall Rosyln (So., Philadelphia, Pa.) had a big game for the Tigers, leading the way with four goals, including a two-pointer. Chris Gratian (Jr., Modesto, Calif.) added three goals, while the freshman duo of Kevin Foster (Davis, Calif.) and Robert Urquhart (Ann Arbor, Mich.) each added two goals.
Goalkeeper Greg Stoll (Sr., Lake Forest, Calif.), who was playing in his final collegiate game as a Princeton Tiger, went the distance in the cage and made 15 saves.
Foster was named to the all-tournament team.
