Today's Note of the Day
Light it up — Siena is averaging over 70 points per game, including 92 in the season opener against Tulane. Princeton defense is allowing just fewer than 70 points per game and have given up 90+ points only once in the last 312 games, that coming in a 97-64 loss to St. Peter's. During that same span, the Tigers have scored at least 90 points on two occassions, including a 91-84 victory over another MAAC member Niagra in 1992.
Five more notes no fan should be without
History lesson — This will be only the third meeting between Princeton and Siena, with the series tied at 1-1. The Tigers defeated the Saints 79-67 in the Dial Classic in Minneapolis in 1996, before falling 60-49 in Loudensville a year ago.
Career night — Senior Brooke Lockwood has made her presence felt so far this season. In front of the “home” crowd at Northwestern, Lockwood recorded a career-high 19 points (13 in the first half) and seven assists in the loss to New Hampshire.
Lock on the block — After scoring 12 points and handing out three assists during the first three games, Brooke Lockwood has tallied 27 points and nine assists in the last three games.
More Brooke — Lockwood leads the team in field goal percentage, connecting on 56%.
Repeat performance — In the game against Siena a year ago, then freshman Jessica Munson led the Tigers with a career-high 14 points.

Looking grand — Seniors Kate Thirolf and Maggie Langlas are on pace to become the 12th and 13th players to reach the 1,000-point plateau. With 79 points so far this season, Thirolf stands with 963 career points, seven behind Langlas (970), who has scored 76 this year.
Home court advantage — In the Tigers' four games at Jadwin Gym, Princeton is shooting 46% from the floor and knocking down more than a third of its attempts from long range. The Tigers are shooting less than 35% on the road and have hit less than a quarter of its three-point attempts.
Home court advantage II — The Tigers' opponents hold an advantage in rebounding, assists and blocks when Princeton is on foreign soil, but the Tigers have 17 more assists and four more blocked shots in games played on their home court.
Control freak — Kate Thirolf has a three-to-five assist to turnover ratio this season. She leads the team with 23 assists and is second on the team with 10 steals.
Can you spare a dime? — More than half of Princeton's assists on the year have come from the center or forward position. The Tigers' starting frontcourt leads the way with 54 assists (Kate Thirolf-23, Brooke Lockwood-17, Lauren Rigney-14)
Sharpshooter — Freshman Allison Cahill was perfect from the floor (2 for 2) and hit 5 of 6 attempts from the charity stripe for nine points—her highest point total to date—against New Hampshire last weekend.
Windex — Princeton holds a slim advantage in the boards in games it has won. On the flip side, the Tigers are being out-rebounded by an average of nearly 13 in games they have lost.
Aloha, baby — The Tigers will close out 1999 with a trip to Honolulu to participate in the Ala Moana Hotels Paradise Classic at the University of Hawaii. Princeton opens the round-robin tournament against Vanderbilt on Dec. 21, followed by games verses Fairfield and the host Wahine.
