Lindsay Werner Hired As Princeton Women's Basketball Assistant Coach

PRINCETON – Lindsay Werner has been hired as an assistant coach with Princeton Women's Basketball Team, head coach Lauren Gosselin has announced.
Werner spent the previous season at Holy Cross where she helped the Crusaders to a Patriot League Tournament title. Werner was key in the development of the guards on the roster while also playing an active part in recruiting, practice structure and scouting.
"I couldn't be more excited and honored to be joining Princeton Women's Basketball at such an incredible time," said Werner. "The success the program has already achieved speaks for itself and maintaining that expectation of excellence is the clear goal. I truly believe in Lauren and the vision she's building - she's a proven winner, but even more importantly, an amazing person who brings out the best in everyone around her. I'm fired up to get started and be part of what's next!"
"Lindsay and I have gotten to know each other as our paths crisscrossed over the past decade, and I am thrilled to finally team up with her," said Gosselin. "She brings valuable experience to our staff, having worked with successful, high-academic programs throughout her career and alongside head coaches whom I admire and respect. She is someone you want on your team and your staff—passionate about the game, high-energy, relationship-driven, and committed to the holistic student-athlete experience. Prior to her time at Holy Cross, Werner was at Vermont where she helped the Catamounts to the American East Championship. Previously, she was an assistant at the University of New Hampshire and Harvard.
Werner graduated from Merrimack College in 2019, where she was a four-year starter and was a two-time All-Northeast 10 player. She registered over 1,100 points and broke the program record for most career three-pointers (190) and single-season mark for three-pointers (70).
