- Game Notes
One week after going overtime with Lehigh, Princeton found itself having to work an extra shift against another Patriot League foe when the Fordham game was tied 17-17 after regulation.
It was tied because of a freshman named Brian Colsant, who was so new to the program that he had to introduce himself to two senior teammates in the postgame interview room, kicked a 42-yard field goal with 1:37 remaining in the fourth quarter. He then won it with a 38-yard field goal on the first possession of OT.
Princeton led 10-0 after a John Burnham-to-Danny Brian touchdown pass and Alex Sierk's 30th career field goal (two off the Princeton record), but Fordham used the long pass to take a 14-10 lead. Burnham answered that with a touchdown pass to Ryan Crowley to cap an 11-play, 66-yard drive in the fourth quarter to set the stage for Colsant's heroics.

Lehigh were the most by a Princeton team since a 401-yard game against
Brown in 1991.
- A league of their own - The Ivy League went 2-6 last week in its first
week of out-of-conference games.
- Highly offensive - The Lehigh game marked the second time in Steve
Tosches' 12 years as head coach that Princeton has scored at least 24
points in a game and lost. The other time was also an overtime game (33-27
vs. Cornell in 1996).
- Working overtime - Princeton is 0-3 all-time in overtime games.
- Career day - John Burnham was 22 of 35 for 251 yards and two
touchdowns
against Lehigh. All of those numbers were career highs.

rating of 123.32 through two games this year.

- Veterans' day - Justin Bennett has started 22 straight games, the
longest
active streak among offensive or defensive players.
