Princeton Swimmers Remain Undefeated

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Thanks in large part to the performances of Kevin Volz (So., Ft. Myers, Fla.) and Lance Needham (Jr., Lilburn, Ga.) the Princeton men's swimming team remained undefeated with a 137-99 win over Army this afternoon at West Point, N.Y. Volz and Needham each won two events for the Tigers (5-0, 4-0 EISL).
Volz took the 1650 freestyle championship this afternoon with a time of 15:55.94. He also won the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:38.21. Needham won the 400 IM in a time of 4:04.59 and the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:55.80.
Eric Carty-Fickes (So., Winchester, Mass.) won the three-meter diving competition with a score of 255.98 while Chris Cunningham (So., Lower Gwynned, Pa.) won the 200 free with a time of 1:42.72. Andrew Chadeyne (Jr., Pleasantville, N.Y.) and Jesse Gage (Fr., Dix Hills, N.Y.) were members of the winning 200 medley relay team, each won an individual event for the Tigers.
Princeton returns home this weekend to take on Rutgers at DeNunzio pool at noon on Saturday.
