No. 20 Men’s Swim & Dive Are Ivy League Champions For Second Consecutive Season

PRINCETON, N.J. - On the final day of the Ivy League Championships, the No. 20 Princeton men's swimming & and diving team won the Ivy League Championship for the second consecutive season after finishing with 1,474 points.
The Tigers earned two major awards: High Point Swimmer, awarded to Mitchell Schott and High Point Diver, awarded to Aidan Wang. They also picked up two NCAA qualifiers along with five Ivy League Champion Titles while also setting several new records.
In the 100 yard freestyle, Patrick Dinu placed first in the A final, punching his ticket to the NCAA Championships and earning an Ivy Champion title. Logan Noguchi placed sixth. In the B final, Jake Tarara placed third while Lucas Tudoras placed sixth. Yanning Zhang added to the mix, placing eighth in the C final
The Tigers made quite some noise in the 200 yard butterfly A final. Five Tigers swam in this event. Mitchell Schott took first place, earning an Ivy Champion title, punching yet another ticket to the NCAA Championship, all while setting a new Ivy record and pool record. Arthur Balva placed third, Alex Townsend fifth, John Rusnock sixth and Conor McKenna eighth. Jack Haley placed fourth in the C final.
There were an impressive five Tigers competing in the 3-meter diving event. Aidan Wang placed first for the Tigers, making him a three time Ivy Champion. Luka Martinovic followed in second, Chase Sorosky in fourth, Luca Fassi in fifth and Anastasios Callanan in sixth.
The quartet of Schott, Noguchi, Jake Tarara and Dinu placed first in the 400 yard freestyle relay. They earned the Ivy Champions title for the event while also setting a new pool and program record.
In the 1650 yard freestyle, Cole Kawaja took sixth place, while Santiago Gutierrez took seventh followed by Jiarui Xue in eighth.
