Tiger Swimmers Handle Rutgers with Ease

PRINCETON, N.J. - The men's swimming team showed no rust of the holiday layoff this afternoon in beating Rutgers at DeNunzio Pool by a score of 167-121. The Tigers posted first place finishes in eight of the 16 events.
First place winners for the Tigers were Dan Russell in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 58.53, Carl Hessler in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:52.32, Nathan Rebuck in the 100 freestyle with a time of 46.29, Chris Cunningham in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:49.90 and the 400 IM with a time of 4:03.83, Oliver Stroeh in the 200 breast with a time of 2:07.91, Jesse Gage in the 100 butterfly with a time of 49.92 and the 400-freestyle relay team.
Eric Carty-Fickes won the three meter diving competition with a score of 269.70 and he also finished second in the one meter competition.
The Tigers now take the next two weeks off for first semester exams and return to action with a dual meet with Dartmouth on January 23.
