Injury update -- Princeton quarterback Jon Blevins is questionable for Saturday's game against Brown with an ankle sprain, which he suffered last week against Colgate. As of Tuesday, Blevins was still on crutches, though he was expected to be able to walk without them Wednesday. Should Blevins be unable to go, freshman David Splithoff would start in his place and Brian Danielewicz would be the backup. Five More Notes No Media Person Should Be Without
Split decision -- David Splithoff became the first freshman quarterback ever to play for Princeton when he came into the game against Colgate.
More Split -- David Splithoff drove Princeton 80 yards for a touchdown and then 98 yards from his one to the Colgate one before a fourth-and-goal lost to two yards in his two series as Tiger quarterback. In all, Splithoff took Princeton to 176 yards on 29 plays, an average of 6.1 yards per play, prior to his appearance, Princeton had averaged 4.5 yards per play for the season.
Who is this guy? -- David Splithoff played football, basketball and baseball at Glenbrook High School in Glenview, Ill. He played quarterback and defensive back for the football team, which went 4-5 a year ago. He was named all-state.
Air force -- The two highest single-game passing completion, passing attempt and passing yardage games by an opponent against Princeton were by Brown in 1998 and 1999.
What does the media know? -- Princeton's next five games are against the five teams picked ahead of the Tigers in the preseason media poll.

History lesson -- Princeton went 8-2 against Brown in the 1990s. It was Princeton's best record against an Ivy opponent in the decade.
Quarterly report -- Princeton has scored 33 points in the first three quarters and 35 points after that.

Taylor made -- Taylor Northrop has a higher percentage on field goal attempts of at least 40 yards (66.7%) than he does on field goal attempts of less than 40 yards (62.5%).
Getting his kicks -- Taylor Northrop has 18 career field goals. The school record is 36, held by Alex Sierk '99.
More kicks -- Taylor Northrop is the Ivy League's leading field goal kicker and punter.
Passing interest -- Both Brown and Princeton have had their opponents complete 81 of 145 passes.
Fresh faces -- Princeton freshmen Blake Perry, Tim Kirby, Brandon Mueller and Joe Weiss have combined for 60 tackles.
More fresh -- Blake Perry has 23 tackles and is on pace for 57.5. The Princeton freshman record is 34, set by David Ferrara in 1996.
Call me Ismael -- Ismael El-Amin has 80 yards rushing through three games. Of those 80, 39 came on one drive in the third quarter of the game against Columbia.

Elite company -- Offensive tackle Dennis Norman, a two-time first-team All-Ivy selection, has an opportunity to become the fourth three-time selection in school history. The first three were Derek Graham '85, Damani Leech '98 and Matt Evans '99.
Veteran's day -- Princeton's starting offensive line consists of two three-year starters (Dennis Norman, Ross Tucker), one two-year starter (John Raveche) and two players who have been frequent starters due to injury in the past (Brian Wilson, Matt Peluse).
Close shaves -- Prior to last week, Princeton's previous five games had been decided by a total of 13 points.
More close -- Prior to its win over Columbia, Princeton had lost nine straight games decided by seven points or fewer.
Picked clean -- Princeton has returned four interceptions for touchdowns in its last seven games after having one interception return for a touchdown in its previous 109 games.
Don't mess with Texas -- Cornerback Clark Webb was a high school baseball teammate of Princeton junior Chris Young at Highland Park High in Dallas.
Be like Mike -- Mike Higgins is the fourth linebacker in the last six years to be a Princeton captain (Dave Patterson, Tim Greene, Chuck Hastings). Each of the previous three was named either first-team or second-team All-Ivy League.
