The game can also be seen on RCN, which will televise the game on tape delay Sunday at 9 a.m. and Tuesday at 8 p.m.
This Week's Note of the Week Snap count -- Princeton has used four different starting quarterbacks (Tommy Crenshaw, Jon Blevins, David Splithoff, Brian Danielewicz) in eight games. Five More Notes No Media Person Should Be Without More snap -- Brian Danielewicz replaced Jon Blevins (elbow), who was replacing David Splithoff (broken jaw), who was replacing Blevins (sprained ankle), who was replacing Tommy Crenshaw (broken wrist).
Last snap -- Brian Danielewicz will start at quarterback against Yale. When he does, it will mean that Princeton will have had three quarterbacks start two games each (Danielewicz, Blevins, Splithoff) and one start three games (Crenshaw).
History lesson -- Princeton and Yale first played in 1873. After not playing in 1874 or 1875, the teams have met every year since, except for the World War I years of 1917 and 1918 and the World War II year of 1944.
More history -- Yale has beaten Princeton 66 times, the most of any opponent and 26 times more than second-place Dartmouth.
Air force -- Princeton will be facing one of Division I-AA's leaders in passing yardage per game for the fifth straight week. Princeton has faced, in order, Brown's Eric Webber (first), Harvard's Neil Rose (13th), Cornell's Ricky Rahne (fifth), Penn's Gavin Hoffman (second) and now Yale's Peter Lee (17th).
Others receiving votes Injury updates -- Kyle Brandt, Princeton's starting tailback, suffered a dislocated elbow against Penn and will miss the remaining two games. Starting center Brian Wilson (mild concussion against Penn) may play against Yale, backup center Roger Patterson (dislocated shoulder) will miss the remaining two games.
More update -- Quarterback David Splithoff, who has not played since breaking his jaw on the final play of the Harvard game, will not play in the final two games of the season.
Keeping up with the Roser-Joneses -- Chris Roser-Jones, with six interceptions in eight games, ranks 13th in Division I-AA. He is the only linebacker in the top 37.
Triskadecaphobia -- Princeton has three players ranked 13th in Division I-AA in a statistical category: Chris Roser-Jones in interceptions, Andy Bryant in punt returns, Taylor Northrop in field goals.
Career oriented -- Kyle Brandt will miss the remainder of the season due to a dislocated elbow, and he finishes his career with 314 carries for 1,139 yards and eight touchdowns and the distinction of having been the first player ever to carry the ball in Princeton Stadium.
Cameron crazy -- Cameron Atkinson had 37 yards on 10 carries (3.7 per carry) for the first four games of the season. He has 293 yards on 56 carries (5.2 per carry) in the last four.
Half and half -- Princeton scored 66% of its points in the second half inthe first four games of the season. Princeton scored 54% of its points in the first half in the next four games of the season.
David we hardly knew ye -- David Splithoff quarterbacked Princeton for 26 drives, of which 10 ended in touchdowns and two in field goals. His passing efficiency rating of 180.23 would be leading Division I-AA had he thrown the minimum number of passes required. He also set a Princeton record with 14 consecutive completions and became the first freshman ever to be Ivy League Player of the Week. In addition, he was named ECAC Player of the Week, threw 48 passes without an interception, averaged 17.5 yards per completion and even caught one pass for 17 yards.
In a rush -- Princeton has 15 rushing touchdowns this season, of which nine were scored by players who are now out for the season (Kyle Brandt 5, David Splithoff 3, Tommy Crenshaw 1).
Phil it up -- Phil Jackman has made the transition from basketball player to defensive end. Despite never having played organized football before and not coming to the football team until one week before the season opener, Jackman has earned a spot on the two-deep. He had a sack and two tackles against Cornell and a forced fumble against Penn.
Change of seasons -- Before Phil Jackman, the last Princeton athlete to play both football and basketball was Marvin Williams '91.
Point, counterpoint -- Princeton has scored 24 points each of the last two weeks. The only time in Princeton football history that the team scored the same number of points in three straight games was in 1931, when Princeton was shut out in midseason three straight times.
A night at the Opara -- Chisom Opara has 37 receptions, the next two Tigers (Marty Cheatham, George Citovic) combined have 38.
The Blair Morrison project -- Blair Morrison has 13 receptions, breaking the Princeton freshman record of 10 set last year by Chisom Opara.
Center of attention -- Should Brian Wilson be unable to play against Yale and with Roger Patterson out with a shoulder injury, then either freshman Jeff Micsky or sophomore Mike Kissner would start at center.
Fresh faces -- Should Jeff Micsky start at center, he would become the seventh different Princeton freshman start at least one game. The others: QB David Splithoff, WR Blair Morrison, DE Tim Kirby, DE Joseph Weiss, CB Brandon Mueller, CB Blake Perry.
Getting his kicks -- Taylor Northrop has 22 career field goals. The Princeton career record is 36, held by Alex Sierk '99. The Ivy League record is 38, held by Dave Regula (Dartmouth '98).
More kicks -- Taylor Northrop has a higher percentage on field goal attempts of at least 40 yards (.800/4 for 5) than he does on field goal attempts of fewer than 40 yards (.700/7 for 10).
Be like Mike -- Only four players have led Princeton in tackles for a season since 1993: Dave Patterson (1993-95), Tim Greene (1996, 1997), Jim Salters (1998) and Mike Higgins (1999, leading in 2000).
Top of the line -- Dennis Norman, first-team All-Ivy the last two years, has a chance to join Derek Graham '85, Damani Leech '98 and Matt Evans '99 as Princeton's only three-time first-team All-Ivy selections.
Spread it around -- Princeton has 16 sacks, 12 different players have at least one.
Progress-ing -- With three Ivy games remaining to be played, Princeton has already eclipsed last year's league win total.
Tight-en up -- George Citovic has 19 receptions, the most by a Princeton tight end since Marin Gjaja had 20 in 1990 and the second-most since Mark Rockefeller had 57 in 1988.
Passing fancy -- David Splithoff (180.23) would be leading Division I-AA in passing efficiency had he enough attempts. Brian Danielewicz (130.14) would be 38th.
Fan-tastic -- Princeton has drawn 73,645 fans for four home games (18,411 per game) and 21,109 for four road games (5,277 per game).
