Women's Basketball Loses Sixth-Straight

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Princeton women's basketball team lost their sixth-straight game to open the 2000-01 season at home against a tough Army team, 64-46.
Lee Culp (High Point, N.C.) led the Tigers with her second double-double of the season, scoring 15 points and pulling down a game-high 11 rebounds. The performance gives Culp an average of 10.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Sophomore teammate Maureen Lane (Seattle, Wash.) added 13 points and Allison Cahill (Uxbridge, Mass.) scored 10.
For Army, Katie MacFarlane (Clarence, N.Y.) netted a team-high 15 points. She was supported offensively with 12 points from Helu Halaevalu (Danville, Calif.) and 10 points from Megan Dempsey (Fairfax, Va.).
Princeton falls to 0-6 on the year and Army raises its record to 8-1. The Tigers will travel to North Carolina on Friday for a three-game stretch against Elon (Dec. 16), High Point (Dec. 18) and UNC Wilmington (Dec. 21) before the holiday break.
