PRINCETON, N.J. - The Princeton women's basketball team lost its tenth-straight game and remain winless in the 2000-01 season. The Tigers fell victim to Providence on Sunday afternoon at Jadwin Gym 69-42.
Sophomore Maureen Lane (Seattle, Wash.) scored a game-high 20 points for Princeton on 6-14 (.429) shooting from the field, connecting on four of 10 (.400) attempts from behind the three-point arc. Sophomore Allison Cahill (Uxbridge, Mass.) was the only other Tiger to break into double-figures, scoring 10 points.
Providence had four players reach double-figures enroute to its 27-point victory. Kristin Quinn led the Friars with 15 points, while Steffanie Shoop followed with 14. Jen Gombotz and Jenese Wilcox each chipped in 10 points apiece, and Wilcox pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.
Princeton (0-10) will face Navy at home on Friday, Jan. 5.
