Despite 4-0 Weekend by Freshman, Wrestling Team Musters Only One Win

BOSTON, Mass. - The wrestling team suffered a tough weekend, including a pair of Ivy League losses to Harvard and Brown. The Tigers did claim their first victory of the season, though, defeating Boston College 31-19.
There were some strong individual performances. Joe Clarke (Fr., Atlanta, Ga.) went undefeated, including scoring an 11-6 win over Nick Picarsic for Princeton's only points against Harvard. He also had Princeton's lone pin of the weekend, beating Boston College's Steve Pregisto in 5:31. Marc Steyer (Sr. Topsfield, Mass.) won two matches, including an 11-2 major decision over Brown's Ryan Gill while Albert Pendleton recorded one of Princeton's two technical fall of the weekend, beating Brown's Todd Dewitt 21-6. Greg Parker (Fr., Clifton Park, N.Y.) shut out Boston College's Ben Slaughter 16-0 for the other technical fall.
