Tallahassee, Fla. - Five errors cost Princeton in its first game despite outhitting Florida A&M 7-4, the Tigers fell 4-1.
Princeton got on the board first when Lori Volker singled and stole second in the third inning. Jen Neil advanced Volker with a single, and Brie Galicinao knocked her home on a ground out. Florida A & M came back with three runs in the fourth and one run in the sixth, and the defense held on in the seventh for the victory.
Seven players had one hit, all singles. Sarah Peterman pitched six innings, giving up three earned runs on four hits and striking out three batters.
The Tigers will be back in action on Monday, March 13, as they take on Iowa State in a double header beginning at 1 p.m.
