New Coach Green Leads Men's Golf Into New Millenium

PRINCETON, N.J. -- William W. Green has been named head coach of the men's golf team and has led the team to a strong start during the 2000 campaign. Former coach Dick Hunt will remain with the team as an assistant coach.
Green has been a professional golfer, competing on the mini tours throughout the United States. He graduated in 1990 from University of Virginia with a degree in Rhetoric and Communications Studies. He played baseball there, although he did not letter.
Green has worked most recently for Development Solutions, Inc. of Lawrenceville. The founder and president, he oversaw all activities associated with the management of a fundraising consulting firm. Previously, he worked for the Beta Theta Pi Foundation in Oxford, Ohio as both the annual fund manager and the capital campaign coordinator.
The men's golf team, along with the women's golf team, will compete for the Ivy League championship this weekend in Bethpage, N.Y. The men's team won the Navy Spring Invitational last weekend where Nat Hoopes (Fr., Marion, Mass.) finished third overall with a one-over-par 73 and Peter McWhorter (Jr., Greenwich, Conn.) finished in a tie for fourth with a 74.
