Princeton Sails To A Five-Second Victory Over Penn And Dartmouth

PRINCETON, N.J. - The women's open crew sailed to a five-second victory in the varsity race against Ivy League opponents Penn and Dartmouth this morning on Lake Carnegie. Princeton has now won four consecutive regattas spanning nine opponents.
In the varsity eight race, Princeton crossed the finish line in a time of 7:03.34, followed by Dartmouth (7:08.64) in second and Pennsylvania (7:11.86) in third. The Tigers won the second varsity and second novice races. The Orange and Black finished 1-2 in the varsity four event with Dartmouth taking second.
Dartmouth's lone win came in the novice eight event, as the Big Green sneaked across the finish line just 0.60 of a second ahead of the Tigers (7:31.77) . Penn finished in third with a time of 7:39.56.
