A combination of solid play on the first day and a snowstorm that cancelled the second day of the Navy Spring Invitational has helped Princeton claim the tournament title. Princeton was the only team to break 300 on Saturday, shooting a 299. The hosts, Navy, finished second with a score of 302 while St. John's placed third with a score of 305.
Leading the way for the Princeton victory was Nat Hoopes (Fr., Marion, Mass.), who shot a one-over-par 73 yesterday, good enough for third place overall. Peter McWhorter (Jr., Greenwich, Conn.) shot a two-over 74 while both Judd Pritchard (Sr., Fort Worth, Tx.) and Cassidy Traub (Fr., Long Beach, Calif.) both shot a 76. James Milam (So., Idaho Falls, Idaho) was the other Tiger to compete, but his score of 85 didn't count towards the team total.
