Women's Crew Sails To Victory In Home Finale

PRINCETON, N.J. - The women's open crew had no problem in its final home regatta of the year, as the Tigers sailed to a 21-second victory in the varsity eight event this morning on Lake Carnegie.
In the varsity eight race, Princeton crossed the finish line in a time of 6:42.8, followed by George Washington (7:03.2) in second and Fordham (7:04.6) in third. Georgetown finished in 7:28.4 for fourth place. The Tigers won the second varsity and second novice races, with the women's lightweight competing in both. The Orange and Black finished 1-2 in the varsity four event with George Washington taking second and third.
In lightweight competition, Princeton beat Georgetown by 15 seconds for the win. The Tigers finished in a time of 8:15.0, followed by the Hoyas at 8:25.6.
