Hughes Era Begins Sept. 16 At Lafayette

Roger Hughes will make his debut as Princeton's head football coach Sept. 16, when the Tigers open the 2000 season at Lafayette.
Princeton plays its home opener the following week with a 7 p.m. kickoff against Lehigh. The Tigers have five home games on the schedule, including games against Harvard (Oct. 21) and Penn (Nov. 4). All home games other than the Lehigh game begin at 1 p.m.
For the first time since 1975, Princeton opens its season with a non-league game. The Ivy opener will be Sept. 30 at Columbia.
