ANNAPOLIS, MD. - McWhorter's two-day final score of 145 earned him a tie for 12th place behind medalist, Eugene Smith, of Seton Hall, whose tournament-winning total was 138. Princeton's Nat Hoopes finished in a tie for 22nd place, James Milam tied for 27th place, Cassidy Traub tied for 33rd place, and Brian O'Toole finished tied for 75th place.
The shot of the day came on the 17th hole as Nat Hoopes recorded a hole-in-one.
After finishing Saturday's round in a sixth-place tie at 299, the Tigers' second-day total of 290 vaulted them into fifth place.
The Tigers compete at the James Madison Invitational next Saturday and Sunday.
