Princeton Falls To Lafayette, 24-17, In Pigskin Thriller

EASTON, Pa. (AP) - Marko Glavic completed a 2-yard fade pass to Phil Yarberough with two seconds left to give Lafayette a 24-17 victory over Princeton on Saturday.
Princeton (0-1) had tied the game at 17 when quarterback Tommy Crenshaw scored on an 8-yard run with 45 seconds remaining.
On the next possession, the Leopards (1-1) faced a third-and-10 from their own 20 when Glavic completed a 55-yard pass to Yarberough. Bill Stocker followed with a 13-yard run to set up the winning touchdown.
Princeton's Chris Roser-Jones returned a Harry Armstrong interception 33 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter. Armstrong was replaced by Glavic in the second.
Glavic, making his freshman debut, was 18-of-30 for 243 yards and two touchdowns. Yarberough finished with 11 catches for 119 yards, and Stocker added 102 yards on 19 carries.
For the Tigers, Crenshaw was 21-of-39 for 193 yards and one interception. Chison Opera had six receptions for 74 yards.
It was Lafayette's first victory over Princeton since 1982.
