Princeton In Eighth Spot After Day One Of James Madison Invitational

HARRISONBURG, Va. - Cassidy Traub shot a 73 to lead Princeton into 8th place after the first round of the James Madison Invitational Saturday afternoon.
Traub's 73 puts him five shots off the pace set by James Madison's Chris Cope and Rutgers' Daniel Lee, who both shot a 68 to open play. Nat Hoopes shot a 75, which leaves him in a tie for 28th place. In addition to Traub and Hoopes, Greg Johnson fired a 76 for the Tigers and Peter McWhorter and James Milam shot 78's.
Princeton finished Saturday's round in an eighth place tie with Iona, Seton Hall and Maryland with a score of 302 (+18), and host James Madison leads the invitational with a score of 289 (+5). The Tigers will look to improve upon their opening day score tomorrow afternoon at the Lakeview Golf Club.
