September 17, 2000 | Men's Water Polo
Sept. 17, 2000
LA VERNE, Calif. - Kevin Foster scored his second goal of the game with 35 seconds remaining to give the Tigers a 6-5 victory over La Verne.
Princeton jumped out to an early 5-0 lead over La Verne and seemed to have the game in hand. In what head coach Luis Nicolao called "an ugly second half of play", La Verne evened the score at 5-5, setting up the late game heroics for Foster.
Robert Urquhart and Foster scored two goals apiece in the victory, with Jon Pharris making six saves in goal.
The Tigers raised their record to 4-3 on the season, and have three games remaining in their West coast tour before returning home.
