NEW YORK, N.Y. - Allison Cahill's 16 points and Lee Culp's 14 were not enough to pace the Princeton women's basketball team to its first win of the season. The Tigers lost 61-48 to Columbia Saturday night and drop to 0-14 overall, 0-2 in the Ivy League.
Poor shooting plagued both teams. Princeton shot only 32% in both halves going 8-25 in each. Columbia shot 36.4% in the first half (12-33) but improved to 44.8% shooting in the second (13-29). Princeton also had 21 turnovers to Columbia's 10.
Columbia was led in scoring by Patricia Kern with 15 points. Shawnee Pickney and Katie Day had 10 each.
Princeton returns to action Jan. 29 against Stony Brook at Jadwin Gymnasium at 5 p.m.
