Women's Hoops Drops Another Close One To Cornell

PRINCETON, N.J. - With 23 seconds left in the game and down by one, the Princeton women's basketball team could smell their second win of the season. But clutch free throw shooting by Do Stevens and Jennifer Link of Cornell handed the Tigers their 21st loss of the season by a score of 65-60 Saturday night.
Allison Cahill's seven points in the final two and a half minutes kept Princeton (1-21, 1-8 Ivy) in the game. Cahill sunk a three-pointer to bring Princeton within three. She followed up with a lay up after Breean Walas scored two for Cornell (12-11, 5-5 Ivy) to keep the score close at 61-58. Cahill's next bucket brought the Tigers with in one point before Cornell capitalized at the free throw line.
Cahill led Princeton with 22 points on 9-15 field goal shooting and 4-8 from behind the arc. Lee Culp had 15 points for the Tigers. Lynell Davis led Cornell with 23 points and Do Stevens had 12.
Princeton makes its final road trip of the regular season to Harvard on Friday, Feb. 23 and Dartmouth on Saturday, Feb. 24 before returning home for the final homestand.
