PRINCETON, N.J. - The 2-0 Tiger softball team will host the Wildcats of Villanova this Saturday, March 17, at 1:00 p.m. on 1895 field. The Tigers picked up their two wins at the Terrapin Invitational held two weeks ago at the University of Maryland. Villanova enters the game at 8-0, having recently returned from a spring break tour during which the Wildcats outscored their opponents 49-5.
Villanova has already beaten several teams that Princeton will face later in the season, including Monmouth, 8-0 and Yale, 10-0. Last year, Princeton traveled to Villanova where the two split a pair, Villanova defeated Princeton in the first game, 0-3 and the Tigers won the second game 1-0.
The Tigers leave for Atlanta, Sunday, March 18 to face some tough southern competition including Georgia State and Auburn University. While in Georgia the Tigers will also play Maryland, a team that Princeton will see several times this season.
