COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Three Tigers softball stars were named to the 2001 Terrapin Invitational All Tournament Team. The team was named after the majority of the second day of competition was cancelled and Maryland was declared the winner of the tournament. Princeton finished second in the ranking, finishing the tournament at 2-0 and not competing in two cancelled games..
Brianne Galicinao, who was the winning pitcher in Princeton's victory over Fairfield University and the batter to drive in the winning run, was honored to this team of ten. Lori Volker, who made some spectacular defensive plays, putting out six LaSalle batters in the second game, as well as having a good day on the bases, also received honors. Kim Veenstra who cranked a homer in the opening innings of the LaSalle game to begin Princeton's scoring drive and picked up 2 more RBIs later on in the game was the third tiger to be named to the team.
