Softball's Brie Galicinao Named Ivy League Pitcher of the Week

Princeton, N.J. - Junior, Brie Galicinao and freshman Wendy Bingham were respectively named Ivy League Pitcher and Rookie of the week for April, 22-29.
Brie Galicinao tossed her first perfect game of the season with 14 strikeouts in the 2-0 win over Pennsylvania. In the 2-0 win over Monmouth, she went the distance, striking out eight and allowing just one hit. Galicinao took a 1-0, extra inning loss to St. Peter's but did not allow an earned run, while striking out eight and scattering five hits. Galicinao has not given up an earned run in her last six starts and leads the League with an ERA of 0.66.
Wendy Bingham, who started in all three of Princeton's doubleheaders this week, went 3-0 including two complete games. She recorded 23 Ks, while scattering eight hits over 18 innings. Bingham had six strikeouts in both the 5-0 win over Monmouth and the 9-3 win over Pennsylvania. She registered 11 strikeouts in the 4-0 win over St. Peter's.
