Three Tigers Named To All-State Baseball Team

PRINCETON, N.J. - Three Princeton baseball players were named to the all-state team by the New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association. Shortstop Pat Boran (Jr., Pottsville, Pa.) and outfielder Max Krance (Sr., Nyack, N.Y.) earned first-team honors. Starting pitcher Ryan Quillian (So., Atlanta, Ga.) earned second-team honors.
Boran, who batted .307 with two home runs and 24 RBIs, led the team in doubles (14), runs scored (42) and stolen bases (16 steals, 18 attempts).
Krance leads the team with a .335 batting average and is second with 30 RBIs. Krance tied a Princeton record early in the season for most hits in a game (6).
Quillian was 6-3 with a 3.56 ERA during the regular season. He went 4-2 with a shutout in six consecutive complete games. Quillian had a team-leading 56 strikeouts while issuing only 10 walks.
Princeton won its second consecutive Ivy League championship on May 6 and an automatic berth to the NCAA tournament. First-round regional pairings will be announced on Monday, May 21, at 3 p.m. Eastern time, during a live, half-hour program on ESPN.
