Tigers Win Crucial Series Against Dartmouth

HANOVER, N.H. - The Tigers pick up a crucial series win against Dartmouth as the race to the Ivy League tournament trickles down to the final few games.
Tomas Cernius opened up scoring for Princeton by hitting a home run in the fourth inning, giving the Tigers a 1-0 lead.
In the fifth inning, Tommy Googins hit an RBI double to extend the lead. Grant Werdesheim reached on a fielder's choice shortly after while two more Tigers crossed home plate. Isaac Lamson capped off the inning, making it home off of a foul ball from Jake Koonin. The Tigers held a 5-0 lead to end the inning.
The Tigers put up 5 more runs in the seventh inning making it a 9-0 game. The first run was scored off of a walk while bases were loaded, followed by a two-run single from Jake Kernodle and Brady Kaufman.
Dartmouth put up two runs to wrap up the seventh inning, calling it a 9–2 game.
Justin Kim picked up his fourth win in his start for the Tigers. In six innings, Kim allowed three hits and struck out two while keeping Dartmouth scoreless.
Ryan Penney entered the game in the seventh inning, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out two.
The Tigers host Siena College on Wednesday for a 3 p.m. start at Clarke Field.
