Princeton Ends Non-Conference Play with Win Over Siena

PRINCETON, N.J. - Princeton closed out non-conference play with a 5-1 victory over Siena.
Jake Kernodle opened up scoring for the Tigers early in the first with an RBI, taking a 1-0 lead.
Grant Werdesheim extended the lead to 2-0 in the second inning with an RBI of his own.
The Tigers offense heated up in the fifth inning as Jake Koonin put up a two-run home run followed by an RBI from Brady Kaufman, putting Princeton up 5-0.
Siena answered back with a run in the seventh inning.
James Beasley secured the victory for the Tigers. In his six inning outing, Beasley allowed five hits and no runs.
The Tigers now improve to 15-24 overall and host Harvard this upcoming weekend for their final series and to wrap up Ivy League play.
