Princeton Drops Doubleheader to Harvard

PRINCETON, N.J. - Princeton baseball drops their doubleheader against Harvard ahead of the series finale on Sunday.
Harvard 10, Princeton 3
The Tigers opened up scoring early in the second inning with a two-run home run from Tommy Googins. Jake Koonin followed with an extra base hit, extending the lead to 3-0.
Harvard continued to put up 10 unanswered runs between the fifth and the sixth innings.
Liam Kinneen made his 11th appearance and start on the mound for the Tigers. In four innings pitched, Kinneen sacrificed four hits and five earned runs while striking out four.
Harvard 7, Princeton 5
Harvard took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning, and extended their lead to 3-0 in the second.
After pushing their lead to 5-0 in the fifth inning, the Tigers answered back with three off their own to make it 5-3. The first run came off of a wild pitch, followed by RBIs from Tommy Googins and Isaac Lamson.
Harvard continued to put up two more runs in the sixth inning, pushing the score to 7-3.
Princeton pushed to cut the deficit in the eighth inning. Jake Kernodle and Dylan Zdunek both contributed with RBIs making it a two run game, but ultimately ending in a 7-5 loss.
Elliott Eaton took the start in this game. In four innings pitched, Eaton allowed five runs and struck out three.
The Tigers close out the series tomorrow with a scheduled 12:05 p.m. first pitch.
