Princeton, N.J. - The American Water Polo Coaches Association has released the men's all-Academic teams for the 2000-01 academic year. Princeton as a team, ranked third in the nation in cumulative grade-point average while several Princeton athletes received individual honors.
Princeton's cumulative GPA, 3.10 ranked the Tigers behind only two other schools in the nation, St. Francis College and John Hopkins University.
Marshall Roslyn, who scored 31 goals for the Tigers in the 2000 season, lead several other Tiger athletes that also made the all-academic team including Trevor Walsh, Jimmy Orozco, Drew Jones, D.J. Halloway, and Jon Pharris. Pharris received CWPA All-Southern honors earlier this year, being named to the conference's first-team. Both Roslyn and Walsh received "Superior" ranking, the second highest level designated by the American Water Polo Coaches Association.
