Pharris Leads Men's Water Polo Past UMass

PRINCETON, N.J. - Senior co-captain Jon Pharris (Newport Beach, Calif.) turned in a tremendous 16-save performance to help the Princeton water polo team hand Massachusetts a 7-6 defeat in overtime. The Tigers, who defeated Iona 9-5 and lost to Queens 6-5 earlier in the day, are now 9-2 overall and 2-2 during North/South Invitational play.
Senior co-captain Marshall Roslyn (Philadelphia, Pa.) and junior Robert Urquhart (Ann Arbor, Mich.) each scored two goals in the game. Junior Kevin Foster (Davis, Calif.) registered Princeton's first goal of the overtime before sophomore D.J. Halliday (Orinda, Calif.) tallied what proved to be the game-winner at 2:28 of the second overtime period. Sophomore Chris Armato (Long Beach, Calif.) also added a goal for the Tigers.
Princeton will close out the North/South Invitational when it meets Saint Francis tomorrow at 12:50.
