Allison Cahill Named IvyLeagueSports.com Player Of The Week

Princeton, N.J. - Princeton junior Allison Cahill was named the IvyLeagueSports.com Player of the Week today after scoring 28 and 30 points in consecutive games. Cahill leads the Tigers in scoring (16.6 ppg) and is tied for the team lead in assists with 29.
Cahill scored a career-high 28 points at New Orleans on Jan. 19, leading the Tigers to a 71-61 victory. She topped that performance with 30 points in a come-from-behind win at Centenary on Jan. 21. Cahill led the team in scoring for the third consecutive game on Dec. 28 when she posted 15 second-half points en route to an 18-point performance in Princeton's 63-55 loss to Manhattan.
Cahill has 46 rebounds and 12 steals to go along with her team-leading point and assist totals. She finished the week making 25 of 47 field goals (.532), 9 of 19 three-point attempts (.474) and averaging 25 points in three games played.
Cahill is the second Tiger honored by the Ivy League this season. Freshman Karen Bolster was named Rookie of the Week after scoring 24 points in her debut on Nov. 16. Princeton is 6-5 this season and begins Ivy play this Friday at Pennsylvania. Game time is 12:30 p.m.
