Women's Golf Wins ECAC Championship

Princeton, N.J. - Sophomore Avery Kiser won a six-hole playoff with Elizabeth Carpenter of Brown to take her second straight ECAC title, giving Princeton a one-stroke victory over Brown at the 2002 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships.
The Tigers finished the rain-shortened 27 hole tournament with a score of 467 while Brown finished with 468. Boston College was third with a score of 487 in the 14-team tournament at Gettysburg, Pa.
Kiser won last season's championship as a freshman and finished the 2002 tournament with a 27-hole score of 111. Meg Nakamura tied for fifth with a 116, Emma Stachowicz took 10th with a 120 and Esty Dwek shot a 121 over the two-day event.
