Wednesday's Luncheon Quotes

The following are quotes from Wednesday's football media luncheon, prior to the 10/12 game against Colgate. Among the speakers were Princeton coach Roger Hughes, Colgate coach Dick Biddle and senior linebacker J.R. Sauder.
Colgate is a very tough opponent. They have a very strong defense, holding Bucknell to under 100 yards rushing last week. We haven't really been competitive with them the past two seasons. We're looking forward to the chance for some redemption. It will be a great opportunity for us to see where we stand playing against a perennial Patriot League power.
Hopefully their recent record against us will motivate the players. I've been trying to help put that in the guys' minds. All we've done so far is win two games this season. They know how good Colgate is. They know the talent, the skill and the physical play. This team hasn't taken success very well. Every time we seem to round the corner, we take a step back. We need to continue the learning curve.
J.R. Sauder
They have a smash mouth offense. They say 'we're going to run the ball, come and stop us.' As a defense, we're going to have to step it up this weekend.
Dick Biddle
I'm looking forward to the game. Princeton is a very good team. They have a lot of skilled players. This will be a good test for us on the road. It will be an opportunity for us to see what we have.
It took us some time to get going this season. We started with a lot of new people in new places and it has taken time for us to come together. It's been a matter of experience and now we are coming together.
Princeton has very good skilled players. Their players are on a par with Villanova who we saw earlier this season. Their quarterback is very good and can make things happen. With 17 of 25 starters back, this should be a good game.
