Men's Tennis Sneaks Past Clemson 4-3

SAN DIEGO, CA - The men's tennis team suffered a 4-3 loss to BYU the other day, but was on the other side of a 4-3 score on Tuesday when Princeton defeated Clemson to improve to 6-3 on the season.
This time the Tigers got an early edge on the scoreboard with by picking up the doubles point. Hendrick Chasse and Darren Joe defeated Marko Gojanovic and Nathan Thompson 8-5 at second doubles. Tim Kofol and Scott Stewart picked up an 8-6 win over Tyler Manring and Jimmy Poole to clinch the doubles point.
Trevor Smith earned a hard-fought 7-6, 7-6 win over Govanovic at first singles. Joe defeated Manring 6-1, 6-1 at fifth singles, and Nick Benjamin clinched the win with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Poole at sixth singles.
