Princeton, N.J. - Princeton University golf teams commence the spring season with tournaments in Hawaii and Texas this week. After a fall season that produced a wide range of scores and finishes, both the men and women are set to defend their Ivy League Championships at the end of spring.
The women's team opens the season at the Hawaii Invitational on the Olomana Golf Links in Kaneohe, Hawaii. The Invitational runs Tuesday-Wednesday, March 19-20 with 36 played on Tuesday and 18 played on Wednesday.
The men's team will compete at the Pepsi Intercollegiate in Pottsboro, Texas on Saturday-Sunday, March 23-24. Like the women, the 54-hole tournament will have two 18-hole rounds on the first day and the final 18 on the second.
Both the men and women will compete in five spring tournaments before the NCAA Regionals. The Ivy League Championships run on Saturday-Sunday, April 20-21 with the men at Jackson, N.J. and the women at Trenton. The men's team has already won back-to-back Ivy titles and the women took last season's crown to give Princeton both titles for the first time in program history.
Both the Hawaii Invitational and Pepsi Intercollegiate begin with shotgun starts at 7:30 a.m.
