Women's Track Competes at Day One of the Penn Relays

Philadelphia, Pa. - Hasina Outtz was one of the first of many Princeton athletes to compete at the 2002 Penn Relays hosted by the University of Pennsylvania. Outtz finished in 21st place in the women's 400m hurdles with a time of 62.31. Leshinda Demus of South Carolina captured the 400m title, crossing the finish line at 55.64.
Tiger, Jen Byrd also competed in the 400m hurdles and finish in 50th with a time of 64.97.
Catherine Casey finished 11th in the 5,000m with a time of 16:52.81. Mary Proulx of Keene State won the event in 16:29.79. Chelo Canino finished fourth in the pole vault, clearing 3.69m (12'01.35"). Susan Coltman finished 21st in the eastern long jump distance with a mark of 5.14m (16'10.50")
The Princeton team, competing in the Heptagonal 4x400m finished in fifth with a time of 3:51.72. Brooke Minor did not register a height in the women's high jump.
