Women's Track and Field Sends Seven to Eugene for NCAA Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. – Seven Tigers will travel to Eugene, Ore. as the Princeton women's track and field team begins competition at the NCAA Outdoor Championships on Wednesday at historic Hayward Field.
After a strong NCAA East performance in Lexington, the Tigers qualified in seven field events, marking the most of any team in NCAA women's division I.
A pair of Tiger sophomores punched their first ticket to NCAAs. Alysa Carrigan cleared 1.79m/5-10.5 in the high jump to take eighth and qualify for nationals. In the discus, Layla Giordano also took eighth with a throw of 55.31m/181-5, sending her on to Oregon.
Georgina Scoot had a standout weekend, qualifying in the long jump on day one before winning the triple jump on day two, setting her up to double in Eugene. Her triple jump mark was a new personal best 13.67m/44-10.25.
It will mark the second consecutive year that Scoot will double in the long and triple jump at the NCAA outdoor championships, and her third time competing in the triple jump.
Joining Scoot in the long jump will be Alexandra Kelly, who took seventh at regionals with a jump of 6.36m/20-10½.
In the hammer throw, Angela McAuslan-Kelly came up with a clutch final throw of 64.64m/212-1 after fouling her first two attempts, launching her into fourth and punching her first ticket to Eugene.
Fellow thrower and senior captain Shea Greene clinched her third trip to NCAAs in the javelin, placing fourth today to qualify with a mark of 56.15m/184-2.
Senior Tessa Mudd will also return to Eugene for the second time after qualifying in the pole vault, taking fifth overall while tying for first in her flight with a clearance of 4.27m/14-0.
The Tigers are led by Head Coach Michelle Eisenreich, in her 10th season at the helm. Named the 2026 Indoor Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year, Eisenreich also earned her fourth-straight Ivy League Coach of the Year award during this outdoor season. The 2024-25 Triple Crown was the program's first under her leadership.
