Vaughan Named IvyLeagueSports.com Pitcher of the Week

PRINCETON, NJ - Jason Vaughan (Fr., Garland, TX) has been named the IvyLeagueSports.com Pitcher of the Week after pitching a one-hitter against Dartmouth on Sunday afternoon. This is his first pitcher of the week honor.
Vaughan gave up just one hit over 8.1 innings to give Princeton a 1-0 win over the Big Green. The only hit that the rookie southpaw allowed was an infield hit in the first inning. He walked one batter and recorded four strikeouts in the win.
The win improves Vaughan's record to 2-1 with a 6.66 ERA. In 24.1 innings of work this season, he has given up 27 hits, 18 earned runs and struck out 11 batters.
Classmate Ryan Eldridge (Stafford, VA) was named to the Ivy League honor roll after he went 8-for-18 last week with seven RBIs and three runs scored, including a 7-for-14 performance with six RBIs and two runs scored in Ivy action against Harvard and Dartmouth.
Princeton (11-15, 6-2 Ivy) returns to Ivy League action on Saturday, April 13 when it travels to meet Brown. The Tigers will then continue on to Yale for a pair of games on Sunday, April 14. Both doubleheaders are scheduled for noon.
