Hindman Selected By Anaheim Angels In 22nd Round Of MLB Draft

NEW YORK, NY - Junior southpaw Scott Hindman (Inverness, IL) was selected by the Anaheim Angels in the 22nd round of the Major League Baseball draft on Tuesday (June 4). Hindman was taken with the 654th overall pick.
Hindman returned to the mound this season after making just one appearance in 2001 before missing the rest of the season after having Tommy John surgery on his elbow. This season he threw seven innings and finished with a 15.43 ERA. Hindman surrendered just two hits, while walking 11 and striking out 13 in his seven appearances.
The draft will conclude tomorrow (June 5).
Princeton won its seventh-consecutive Gehrig Division title in to advance to the 2002 Ivy League Championship Series, where it lost to Harvard 5-1 and 2-1. The Tigers closed out the season with a 22-23 record.
