Men's Soccer Wins In Double Overtime

Philadelphia, Pa. - Freshman Darren Spicer scored with four seconds remaining in the second and final overtime period to give Princeton its first win of the season. The Tigers wrapped up weekend play at the Penn/Kappa Classic with a 1-0 double overtime victory over La Salle on Sunday afternoon.
Spicer won the game with his first career goal, receiving an assist from fellow freshman Alex Reison in the game's 110th minute. The Tigers finally connected after missing on their first 18 attempts. Princeton out-shot La Salle 19-8 on the day.
Senior goalkeeper Jason White gets his first shutout of the 2002 season, recording four saves. The Tigers improve to 1-1-2 and drop La Salle to 1-3-1. Princeton will travel five miles down the road to face Rider this Wednesday at 4 p.m.
